Born in Bodø. Education: University of Oslo, Bachelor of Science; Mathematics, Geophysics, Geology and History of Art. Diploma in Education. Courses in Management and IT processing.
Employment: Since 1966 as a teacher and since 1974 in administrative professions, IT consultant, assistant headmaster at college and at adult education. Secretary and special consultant for a competence committe on regional level.

Training as an artist: As a teenager I painted two years with painter Oscar Bodøgaard, Bodø. I have participated several times at the summer seminars of creative art at the Nansen Academy - the Norwegian Humanistic Academy, Lillehammer. Teaching supervisor has been painter Vegard Stalsberg. I prefer acrylic paint, and I also make use of sand, clay and organic materiales in the pictures. I alternate between painting naturalistic and more abstract, and get ideas from outdoor life. Themes are often fetched from mountains, seas and fjords, geology, structures in rocks and crystals, glaciers and "floating" stones and islands. Jars and other objects are also frequent motives in my works.
